Leadership & Supervision: Delegate and manage tasks, schedules, and personnel. Conduct evaluations, provide feedback, and mentor employees for growth and promotions.

Customer Service: Model extraordinary service by greeting customers and assisting with questions, concerns, and purchases.

Team Development: Supervise and train clerks and department staff to meet performance standards, enforce policies, and foster positive relations.

Operations: Forecast sales, control expenses, review invoices, and order from approved vendors to maximize sales and minimize shrinkage.

Merchandising: Ensure shelves and displays are stocked, rotated, and signed properly. Build and maintain attractive product displays and maintain schematic integrity.

Compliance & Safety: Promote Vallarta’s Safety Program, ensure adherence to health regulations, and correct unsafe acts or conditions immediately.

Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness of equipment, storage areas, and displays, ensuring compliance with sanitation standards.

Inventory Control: Conduct quarterly audits, review transfers, manage spoilage and damaged goods, and ensure accurate reporting.

Other Duties: Attend meetings, communicate with store leadership, and perform additional tasks as needed to support store success.

Stand and walk for long periods (6–8 hours/day).

Frequently bend, squat, twist, kneel, and reach above/below shoulders.

Frequent use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.

Lift and carry up to 25 lbs. frequently, up to 50 lbs. occasionally; heaviest item: 61 lbs., longest distance: 12 feet (using buddy system for pallets).

Operate manual jacks, power jacks, forklifts, and pallet equipment safely.

Work near equipment and machinery, with exposure to noise, and varying temperatures

May be required to perform tasks at elevated levels (placing or retrieving items).

Knowledge of grocery operations, merchandising, and vendor relations.

2–3 years of retail management or supervisory experience in dairy, deli, or frozen preferred.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to forecast sales, manage labor, and control expenses.

Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and workplace safety.

Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
